This is is one of two proofs in black ink of this plate in this state. I do plan to transform this etching a bit, but I love the look of pure line work so printed a few variations. Printed in warm black ink on cream toned high quality Japanese gampi mounted to cotton rag paper.

This plate has been etched entirely using electricity. Many many hours were put into hand drawing all the tiny details. Variations in value were created by meticulously controlling the etching time for the various stages. There are so many little details to discover, especially in the soil beneath the figure. So many little bugs and critters are hiding in there.

Longing to Connect, attempting to revitalize some withered roots. Reminding myself of my power as a living being, and hoping to find a way to reconnect with Nature.
