Description

High quality, 100% archival giclée print reproductions of my original painting, Field Bindweed.

The original painting is 48 x 36″ oil on canvas. These fine art prints measure 10×20″.

I often use invasive plants, especially vines (which have a habit of taking things over completely) as a sort of multipurpose metaphorical entity in my work. Field bindweed is a vine native to Europe where it represents purity. However, it is highly invasive here in North America. I began to think of its meaning, purity, as a duplicitous being, like a plant that can grow wild and become invasive. This painting explores purity culture as an unwanted and unnatural presence in my psyche which has nevertheless taken over. 🌿

*Giclée prints are high quality reproductions that are meant to last like an original. They are printed with archival, lightfast pigment-based inks by a high-resolution inkjet printer that is able to produce a wider range of colors. They have been tested by me to best match the colors of the original. The smallest size is printed on matte photo paper, and all other sizes are printed on 130lb watercolor paper.
